Looking for (country) guitar licks? Well, the good old Licks&Tricks section is now available for download as a zip file! Here´s what you do:

Download the Hot_Guitar_Licks.zip file (5.6MB)

Open the zip file (i e double-click it)

Choose to Extract/ Unzip to a location on your computer, for example your Desktop.

Now, if you go to that location, there should be a folder there called Licks.

In that folder, there is a file called licks.htm

Open licks.htm and voila, you´re ready to twang :)

Since I did the stuff almost a hundred years ago, the sound clips are in RealAudio format... But don´t worry, there is a free RealAudio player still around! Go to www.real.com

2012-03-11 08:19:43 Hi Martin The Prince Edward Island Guitar Festival will be conducting it's 9th Annual Festival at the Brittannia Hall in Tyne Valley, PE on Friday, May 4th, 2012 and at the Guild in Charlottetown, PE on Saturday, May 5th, 2012. The festival is an event featuring the guitar including bass guitar, steel guitar and dobro and presents a variety of styles including classical, blues, jazz, rock, folk, celtic, country and more. The festival is a non profit program and all performers donate their time. We were wondering if you would be willing to donate 1 CD to the festival. It would be provided to performers and/or the audience as a door prize. We would acknowledge the donation at the festival. You can check out our web site at www.peiguitarfest.com although since we are in the process of updating it might be better to search on PEI Guitar Festival for now. And now that the nice new site is up, I initially thought the 'Licks and Tricks' section was done away with. I have learned so much from you, Martin. I have friends requesting your 'Shuffle Rag'.
